Before you meet
Tell a trusted person where you are going, arrange your own transportation, charge your phone, and choose a first meeting place where you can leave independently. Trust a change in your comfort level—even after plans are made.
Consent stays active
Consent must be voluntary, specific, and ongoing. Agreeing to meet, flirt, kiss, share a photo, or enter a home never promises anything else. Intoxication, pressure, fear, or silence are not consent. Anyone can pause or stop at any time.
Coercion and trafficking warning signs
Be cautious when someone controls another person’s phone, money, identification, movement, housing, or sexual activity; monitors every answer; creates a debt; threatens exposure or harm; or prevents them from leaving. Do not confront a suspected trafficker yourself.
Scams and financial pressure
Never send money, gift cards, cryptocurrency, verification codes, banking details, or account access to someone you met online. Urgent travel, medical, investment, or identity-verification stories are common pressure tactics.
Protect your privacy
Keep your home, workplace, routine, legal name, and identifying documents private until trust is earned. Review photo backgrounds and metadata. Use Block and Report when someone pressures you for private material or threatens to share it.
Location and cruising awareness
Share a precise pin only with someone you choose and revoke it when it is no longer needed. At public cruising locations, follow local laws, posted hours, consent boundaries, and venue rules. Stay aware of traffic, isolation, lighting, law enforcement activity, and your quickest safe exit.
If someone may be in danger
